GYNO 101

About a month ago, my little Brooklyn was in the tub taking a bath. I was in the kitchen cleaning up the mess from the night before, when all of the sudden my little 3-year old calls from the bathroom quite frantically, "Mom! Come here!" I rushed in to the bathroom and asked Brooklyn why she was calling me. She proclaims, "Mom, there's a hole in my bum! You need to fix it!" I smiled and explained that we all have holes in our bums. "But Mom, you got to fix it!" Personally, I don't think it was the hole in her bum that she had discovered, but that would be a discussion for another day.

Later that same day, my 7-year old comes home from school and while eating her snack asks me if it hurts when they take babies out of your stomach. Thinking in terms of a C-section, I explained that you are given medicine that numbs your body and they cut open your tummy and take out the baby and sew you back up. I figured that was all she needed to know for now.

Needless to say, I didn't want to have any more gynocological discussions that day, nor do I want to have any more in the near future!

  1. yeah! You posted again. That is hilarious. Mom and DAd were watching a show one time when we were there called Army wives and the mom on there had a very neat way to explain certain things about men, women, and babies. I'll have to try to remember it and let you know. Good luck in the meantime!
