Last Wednesday Kylee woke up with a stomach ache. I just figured she had the stomach flu and kept her home from school. Later that day after much lamenting, I asked her to show me specifically where her stomach hurt. She point to her right side which hurt more when I touched it. Immedaitely I decided a trip to the ER was necessary. After several tests and 6 hours later, Kylee was being wheeled to the OR to have her appendix out. She wasn't thrilled about the idea of going in for surgery, but she did really well and has recovered very quickly. She has been most excited about all of the balloon bouquets that have to come for her. We found a picture of an enlarged appendix online and after looking at the odd little organ, it makes you wonder...What is an appendix anyway??
I am glad that Kylee has recovered well. She looks so tiny in her hospital gown!
