For those of you who want to see what a kidney stone looks like, here are some samples personally donated by- ME! Last June I gave birth to the smaller of the two stones. Yes, it was extremely painful, I ended up in the ER, but, a day after the pain started, the ordeal was over. During my ER visit, my CT scan revealed that another stone was in my left kidney and would make its decent someday. That day was last Friday. However, this one came very differently than the last, although, I knew that was what was causing me so much pain. After a week and a half of off and on pain, I was getting ready to go to the DR. to figure out what was causing the pain on my left side. Shortly before I was going to leave, the "pain in my side" popped out. This kidney stone is larger than the first one and wasn't quite as painful, but the whole ordeal was not pleasant. I am hoping that this will be the last kidney stone that I ever have to pass!
