Within the last year, Logan has suffered from MULTIPLE ear infections, a round of respiratory infections, and several viruses. Just within the last month, he had another double ear infection, was hospitalized with pneumonia for 2 days, and contracted a secondary viral infection 5 days after coming home from the hospital. I can't even count how many antibiotics the poor child has had, nor do I remember how many doses of Motrin or Tylenol have been administered. All I know is that Logan is so tired of going to the doctor's office and now has to be heavily coaxed to take any medicine that he use to so willingly take. And then on Tuesday he broke out in what started as a rash. We took him off the antibiotic and started giving him Benadryl to counteract the reaction. By Thursday, the rash had developed into hives. This time, I just e-mailed my doctor rather than torment Logan with yet another trip to the doctor's office. My poor little boy....he just can't catch a break!

ReplyDeleteHoly smokes! That is so sad! Make sure you remember what antibiotic he is allergic to. That sucks.
