FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

I know there are many mothers who dread the day that school starts, sending their children off to school leaving them home alone or with their younger children. They look forward to each afternoon as the kids walk through the front door filling back in the empty space that was left there earlier that morning.
I love my children. I love being a mother. I love spending time with my kids. But I also love quiet time. I love having time to myself. I love not having to listen to the tears, and drama, and screaming, and bossing that comes with having 3 girls in the house. I love spending the day with my little boy (and 3 other daycare kids) because the noise level and chaos are actually less when my girls are at school. So I hope that doesn't make me a bad mother. For my sanity, I need that break during the day.

    Oh yeah...I'm liking the quiet time too. It will be even better when there are actually NO children around...but it's a good start.

    You are a GREAT mom. I LOVE my quiet time and really don't enjoy the chaos when they are all home. No children is perfect. We've earned it!
